Can we define Insanity? Well, State of insanity is one of those things that most psychological texts try to categorize, illustrate and analyze, but never define. Indeed, from a certain point of view, madness and mental health are too relative to the individual and his or her situation to be given a single, comprehensive definition. There are, however, several factors to note among the different “forms” of madness known to modern mental health experts. What do you think could drive someone to the state of insanity? Certainly, madness is something that is commonly understood (or misunderstood depending with who you talk) and that generally carries some kind of stigma in popular consciousness. If you believe in modern psychology and psychiatry, there are literally thousands of forms of madness that a person can develop in their lifetime.

However, after further analysis, there is every indication that there are commonalities in the causes of most forms of insanity experienced by people. This leads us to the question: is there a common and profound trigger that can compromise the stability of individuals mental health?

Stress and anxiety are frequently cited as the most common triggers for many illnesses. This is why, it could be that for some, the accumulation of stress does not lead at all to madness, since the largest part of the society constitutes the proof of this theory, because nowadays in America we have to deal with stress practically on a daily basis.

Nevertheless, it is important to mention that long-term stress can have a significant impact on a person’s neurological functioning and behaviors. Of course, it’s also true that many other factors can play a more or less important role in increasing or decreasing the impact on people’s minds and mental health. In a few cases, however, stress and anxiety can sometimes simply have the opposite effect, motivating the person to surpass themselves. But all this will obviously depend on everyone’s point of view.

Emotional Meltdown

It has also been observed that extremely emotional events and profound emotional trauma can have a permanent impact on an individual’s mind. To such an extent that he may eventually need therapeutic follow-up to overcome them. Indeed, it can easily be argued that the harmful emotions we maintain only reinforce the impacts of the stress and pressure we have to endure on a daily basis, but that they are not a factor in themselves.

The fragility of a person’s mind will play a major role here in comparison with other possible causes of dementia. Similarly, it will be important to consider when the individual suffered the trauma. Don’t keep everything inside, you need to learn how to get rid of stress and anxiety.
